GemLea is a single-house coloured-gemstone atelier in London. One house holds the stone from the ground to the hand that keeps it — sourcing, concept, design, production, marketing and trunk shows, under one name.

A great jewel deserves one guardian, not a relay of strangers passing a stone between them. So we kept every discipline under one roof, and every carat under one name. Gem hunters, gemologists, designers and master setters working the same table. It is slower. It is also the only way we know how to make something worth keeping for a hundred years.

The six disciplines

• Sourcing & Gem Hunting — secured at the mine or estate, with origin and date logged the day it leaves the ground.
• Concept & Consulting — what the stone is for, and who it is for, before a sketch exists.
• Design — drawn in our own studio, every design file archived to the piece.
• Production — cut by a named lapidary, then made at a bench that answers to no one but the piece.
• Marketing & Brand — the story told the way the stone earned it: evidence first, adjectives last.
• Trunk Shows & Events — presented in person, to the people most likely to keep it for a century.
